• Go to the NSDL's official website.
• Scroll to the bottom of the page until you find an option labelled "Select the Applicant's Category."
• Before hitting 'Select,' select the category (individual / partnership firm / association of persons / body of individual, etc.) from the drop down menu.
• Fill out the form completely, including your name, father's name, gender, date of birth, and so on.
• To make a modification to a field, check the boxes next to it.
• Step 6: Enter your PAN number in the appropriate area, and if you want to apply for a change in ad without using paper, do so.
• If you choose the paperless option, you'll have to submit your photos, papers, and signature to the internet, which eliminates the need to physically provide the documentation for a change of residence.
• If you want to alter the address on your PAN card the old-fashioned way, choose 'No' in the 'For Paperless PAN Application' section.
• A Pan Acknowledgment Form with a 16-digit Acknowledgement Number will be mailed to you. This form will need to be printed.
• In the area given on the acknowledgement form, attach two current passport-size pictures and sign.
• In an envelope, insert a check or demand draught, as well as the acknowledgement form and self-attested documentation. Check to see if the acknowledgement number is written on the reverse of the check or demand draught.
• On the envelope, write 'Application for PAN CHANGE REQUEST – Acknowledgment Number' as the header.
• Mail the package to NDSL at Income Tax PAN Services Unit, NSDL e-Governance Infrastructure Limited, Mantri Sterling, Plot No.341, Survey No.997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk, Pune – 411016.
• The mail must arrive to the NSDL address within 15 days after receiving the acknowledgment.
• When the NSDL receives your application, it will submit it to be processed, and you will be notified by email at your registered email address.
