Oppo's Reno 7 is now available in Velvet Red, and it looks simply stunning. This phone, however, may never arrive to India and is primarily intended for the Chinese market.

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, the Oppo Reno 7 now comes in a special colour edition. The latest variant is appropriately dubbed the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition, and it comes in a Velvet Red colour that represents Chinese New Year celebrations. Because it lacks the gradient effect that has been distinctive with Reno phones, the new colour makes a departure from the standard Reno 7 versions. A distinctive logo is stamped on the back of the new Reno 7 model.
The new Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition is exclusively available in China, which is also the only market for the new Reno series. Oppo has not stated when the Reno 7 phones will be available in markets outside of China, including as India. However, according to a new source, the Oppo Reno 7 series could make its debut in India.
Specifications of the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition
The characteristics of the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition are identical to those of the vanilla edition, including the pricing. The phone has a 6.43-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, a maximum touch sampling rate of 180Hz, and a 91.7 percent screen-to-body ratio. On top of that, there's Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It has a 4500mAh battery that charges in 60 seconds. The Reno 7 5G New Year Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G CPU and runs ColorOS 12, which is based on Android 11.
The Reno 7 has three cameras on board, including a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The Reno 7's selfie camera is a 32-megapixel camera.
Price of the Oppo Reno 7 5G New Year Edition
The Reno 7 5G New Year Edition costs the same as the normal version. That implies the 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage version will cost CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs 31,800), the 8GB RAM/ 256GB storage version will cost CNY 2,999 (about Rs 35,400), and the 12GB RAM/ 256GB storage version will cost CNY 3,299 (nearly Rs 38,900).
The Reno 7 5G New Year Edition's Red Velvet colour is stunning, and the Tiger emblem on the back honours China's Year of the Tiger.
