Sub Poor condition of historical monuments.
Sir,
As a responsible citizen of a free India, I believe it is my responsibility to draw public attention to the neglected and deplorable state of historical monuments, which are symbols of our past splendour grandeur and our national heritage, through the renowned columns of your distinguished newspaper. They are priceless historical documents that have been squandered due to officials' criminal negligence. I also brought it to the attention of the Government of India's Archeological Survey, but received no answer. This callous apathy on the part of the authorities involved has driven me to write to you. I would like you to come over here and visit some of the monuments, such as the Humayun Tomb, Tughlak Kila, Qutab Minar, and others, With the passage of time, you will notice that they are losing their shape and becoming deteriorated. Their walls are rotting, their roofs are cracking, their bricks and stone pieces are losing plaster, and their top corners are crumbling. All of this is due to a lack of basic upkeep. We must accept the fact that even the present will pass us by one day.
I was surprised to see how badly our monuments had deteriorated. I respectfully urge that you assist me by publishing my letter in your newspaper, so that the appropriate authorities are alerted in a timely manner, and the valuable historical relics are rescued and maintained.
Yours truly
