The business claims it will be India's most fuel-efficient SUV and would be available with both a mild-hybrid and a robust hybrid powertrain.

India's most fuel-efficient SUV, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 1.5-litre Intelligent Electric Hybrid version achieves 27.97 kilometres per gallon. The engine produces 91 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 122 Nm of maximum torque between 4400 and 4800 rpm. On the other hand, the 1.5-liter, four-cylinder K-Series mild hybrid engine produces 136.8 Nm of maximum torque at 4400 rpm and claims to have a fuel efficiency of 21.11 km/l while producing 101 horsepower at 6000 rpm. The six-speed manual transmission will handle transmission duties, while a six-speed automatic gearbox will also be available on
