On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy F04, a low-cost smartphone, in India. The phone's 6.5-inch HD+ display and MediaTek P35 processor are some of its standout features.

The display has a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution. The PowerVR GE8320 GPU is paired with MediaTek's entry-level MediaTek P35 chip, which is manufactured on a 12nm process node. A battery with a capacity of 5,000mAh powers the chip. Notably, Samsung has kept the charging speed a secret.

You get a dual rear camera setup for photography that consists of a 12MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. A 5MP camera with a waterdrop notch is responsible for taking selfies.

Although Samsung likes to tout the back of the phone as having a "Stylish Gloss Design," the construction of the smartphone appears to be similar to other phones in the segment, with a plastic frame and plastic back. The bezels on the front are a reasonable size and have a slight chin at the bottom.

There is only one storage option available for the Samsung Galaxy F04, which costs Rs 7,499 and comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. With RAM Plus, that can be "expanded" to 8GB. Jade Purple and Opal are the available colours.

On January 12 at noon, Flipkart will begin selling the phone. When using one of their ICICI Bank credit cards to make a purchase, customers can also get a Rs 1,000 discount.

The phone will launch the Android 12 OS right out of the box. Although Android 13 has already been released, Samsung does promise "2 times OS upgrade," so it should be updated to Android 14.
