iPads don't typically display a pointer by default since they're designed for touch interaction. However, there are a couple of workarounds to achieve a pointer-like experience:
- AssistiveTouch with Mouse or Trackpad:
- Enable AssistiveTouch: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and turn on the toggle switch.
- Connect a mouse or trackpad to your iPad. This will enable a grey, circular pointer on your screen that mimics mouse movement.
- Mouse Keys (Limited Functionality):
- Enable AssistiveTouch (same steps as above).
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch and select "Mouse Keys". This allows using a keyboard to control an on-screen cursor (limited functionality compared to a mouse).
Keep in mind that these methods provide a pointer but don't entirely replicate the functionality of a mouse on iPad. For a more precise pointer experience, using a physical mouse or trackpad with AssistiveTouch is recommended.
