I bought an AC of Panasonic Brand a month ago. In this post, i am going to share my experience with Panasonic AC. In the month of May, North India is suffering from a heatwave, and the temperature is measured at 49-degree Celcius. An orange alert has been issued by the concerned department. For this, i bought Panasonic ac due to the Panasonic history of good electronic products. But it wasn't up to the expectation.
My Experience
The purchase/delivery experience:
1. It went extremely well and was delivered within the set time frame the next day.
2. Well-packaged and transported safely.
Pros
1. The product is beautiful. I like the top's glass finish.
2. It's a tad on the large side, but I like it.
3. Doesn't feel flimsy at all, and appears to be quite sturdy.
4. I bought it because of the brand, the features (5 stars 2020, twin cool inverter, copper condenser, wifi-enabled), the warranty (10-year compressor, 5 year PCB), and the air filter.
5. It is manufactured in India.
Cons
1. One feature I'd like to see is the ability to adjust horizontal oscillation as well as vertical oscillation using the remote.
2. Not a major issue, but the backside of the outside unit is visible because there is no protective grill panel (saw a few other brands' ACs also come this way).
Installation Service Experience
1. Panasonic contacted me after the equipment was delivered to schedule an installation appointment. I also received SMSs on the installation.
2. Because I would be unavailable the following day, I requested that they contact me the following day.
3. When I didn't hear from them, I contacted and asked if they could install today.
4. A Panasonic expert arrived within a few hours (not an outside contractor).
5. Had to pay 850 for a Panasonic branded stand, but they only charged 699 for installation, as stated by Amazon.
6. The installation crew was quite professional (no bargaining selling other not needed stuff etc). Also performed admirably.
7. The product didn't come with the cable to connect it to the power outlet for some reason! It appears to cost around Rs. 100 per meter, but I utilized one I already had (plug also).
8. To use the wifi capability, I had to download the Panasonic MirAIe app (the guy helped me with that). He also went through all of the AC's features (demo).
I would like to say it is one of the worst ac, Please do not make the mistake of purchasing a Panasonic air conditioner or any other Panasonic device. They, like all other Japanese corporations, provide poor service. My air conditioner failed after only a year, and they advised me to replace the condenser, which would cost roughly Rs.18,000 with gas. Panasonic is bothered about its customers and has no command over its dealership. You won't get a bill for service, and they will later inform you that you never paid, therefore please pay them online to keep track of your payments. Never choose Panasonic air conditioning.
