The ten-day holy Ganesha holiday is about to begin after two years of restricted festivity. People all around India celebrate this event with great fanfare and display. However, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, etc. are where it is primarily observed.

The next 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations have already begun with great enthusiasm. The big celebration has been in full swing as of late. Devotees gather in pandals and at Lord Ganesha's temples throughout Ganesh Chaturthi to give prayers and eat delectable delicacies while dressing up in new clothing and celebrating. Typically, Ganeshotsav takes place in August or September. According to the Hindu calendar, Ganesh Visarjan occurs on September 9 and Vinayak Chaturthi is on August 31 this year.

Hindu mythology states that Lord Shiva was away, so Goddess Parvati used sandalwood paste to make Ganesha to watch over her while she took a bath. Ganesha stopped Lord Shiva from entering the room where she was bathing, and they argued as a result.

Ganesha, being a dutiful son, stopped Lord Shiva from entering the hall in accordance with his mother's wishes. Due to Lord Shiva's enragement, Ganesha's head was severed from his body. When Goddess Parvati realised this, she changed into her Kali avatar and expressed her wrath by threatening to end the universe.

Lord Shiva then gave his servants instructions to retrieve the head of a sleeping kid, with one caveat: the mother must be facing away from him. This was done in an effort to quell the woman's fury. The first head discovered by the devotees of Lord Shiva belonged to a young elephant. Ganesha was given a second chance at life when Lord Shiva attached his head to his body. Since then, according to myth, that day is commemorated as Ganesh Chaturthi yearly.
